Maria Veronica Banks has been active in campus ministry since she matriculated at Christopher Newport University.  Her attendance at Viaticus, our retreat for freshmen, confirmed her decision for college and CNU.  In the years to come, she teamed and coordinated the retreat.  She also served as CCM's Student Campus Minister for a year and made her Encounter With Christ.  During her senior year, MV has ministered as a lector, led a highly successful Faith Sharing group, coordinated our PB&J sandwich making outreach to our downtown neighbors, and organized CCM's Relay for Life team which placed third out of 103 participating teams by raising over $1700.00.  MV has availed herself of CCM programming throughout her years at CNU.  Well-liked by her peers, MV's wisdom and leadership have contributed to the growth and visibility that CCM enjoys at CNU.
Michael Turk has been active in campus ministry since he matriculated at CNU.  Having come to us formed as a diocesan youth leader, Michael was quickly recognized by his peers as capable and dependable.  He made his Encounter With Christ and since has served as both assistant coordinator and coordinator of EWC.   Michael also teamed Viaticus, our freshman retreat, where he demonstrated a mature faith and strong leadership.  Michael also serves our community as a Eucharistic Minister and helps coordinate our microloans through KIVA.  He has participated in CCM programming throughout his tenure at CNU.  A man of vision, Michael has offered to continue his relationship with CCM after graduation by serving on an Advisory Board to assist the campus minister with development for CCM and to promote a CCM Alumni Association.  Michael has also accepted a diocesan appointment to the Campus and Young Adult Ministry Commission.
