Twilight Retreats
Scheduled throughout the academic year, Twilight Retreats provide CCMers from CNU and nearby colleges and universities opportunities to gather on campus for an evening of reflection on topics related to our faith. Both student and older adults serve as presenters. Previous themes include vocations, post-abortion healing, apologetics, and Church history. Among our initial offerings this year will be Campus Life.

ViaticusTranslating “on the journey,” Viaticus is CCM’s student-led retreat form students new to CNU. Christopher Newport's CCM offers this student led weekend retreat for freshmen and transfer students. Held on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the retreat seeks to ease the adjustment to college life by introducing students to many aspects of their new life. Topics for the retreat include but are not limited to dreams, fears, expectations, choices and challenges, faith on campus, and vocations. This is one of the best opportunities freshman and transfers have to get to know both upperclassman and other newcomers to campus. The weekend includes time for reflection, journaling, and discussion. There is also lots of time to enjoy sand, sun, and surf.
VIATICUS 2011 was held September 9th-11th! Thank you to all who attended. Plans for 2012 are in their early stages! Check back for updates! For more information, please contact Marissa or Tessa. |
These forms must be filled out prior to attending Viaticus. You may bring them to Mass, CCM's office (Office of Student Affairs 342), or make arrangements to drop them off with a team member. If you have any questions, just ask!
